vectordisasters:

In case you didn’t know, I’m originally from Boston, and have a lot of love for my hometown. So when I heard about what happened at the Marathon, I dealt with it the only way I know how, by designing. This is what came out of that.

Where can I buy this?

Relic Guest Curator #004: Jon Contino

Scans From Jon Contino’s Sketchbook

For the last few years Jon’s work has made its rounds all over the internet and has certainly influenced, if not started, new trends within many design circles.  He has mastered an illustration and lettering style that tends to be grounded in vintage americana nostalgia.  And it’s safe to say he’s become one of our favorite illustrators.  These are scans Jon shared with us from his sketchbook which contain drawings that give a glimpse to his process, along with some illustrations that never saw the light of day until now.  Every page is filled with some tasty eye candy, enjoy!

When you’re done here check out Jon’s clothing line CXXVI Clothing Co. and more of his work at joncontino.com.

I had the pleasure of seeing Jon speak at the Apple Store in SoHo a few months back. Really nice guy and super talented.
